At SAVE Foundation, we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteers who selflessly devote their time and energy to making a difference in the lives of others. While each volunteer contributes immensely to our organization, there are rare individuals whose impact is so profound that it leaves us in awe. Recently, we had the privilege of witnessing such a remarkable display of compassion and generosity from one of our standout volunteers, Mahda Herdina. On the occasion of her 40th birthday, Mahda made the extraordinary decision to spend her special day in South Africa, spreading love and joy to the children we serve.

Mahda’s birthday celebration at Sunshine School was nothing short of magical. She went above and beyond to organize a memorable party for the children, filled with laughter, cupcakes, pizza, and heartfelt blessings. Her genuine warmth and infectious spirit created an atmosphere of hope and happiness that left a lasting impression on everyone present.

But Mahda’s impact didn’t stop there. In a display of incredible kindness and dedication, she took it upon herself to raise funds for the Aksel Memorial Clinic, a medical facility established in honor of a former SAVE volunteer who tragically passed away seven years ago. The clinic serves as a lifeline for the residents of the informal settlement of Wolverivier, providing essential medical care to over 7000 people in the area.

Through her own fundraising efforts, Mahda has ensured that Sunshine School and the Aksel Memorial Clinic receive much-needed support to continue their vital work. Her contributions will enable countless individuals to access basic medical care, potentially saving lives and improving the overall well-being of the community.
