Entrepreneurship & Leadership Programme
University and school groups lead business-skills and leadership workshops for local young people, covering idea validation, costing, pitching and practical leadership, under the guidance of our local team.
Entrepreneurship & Leadership Programme
Youth unemployment in South Africa remains among the highest in the world, with Stats SA placing the expanded youth unemployment rate above 45% in recent years — a figure that makes entrepreneurial and leadership skills training a genuine development priority rather than a nice-to-have. Local youth often have strong business ideas and real initiative, but limited access to structured mentorship, basic business-planning tools, or role models who have built something themselves.
This programme pairs university and school groups with local youth for structured business-skills and leadership workshops: idea validation, basic costing and pricing, pitching, and practical leadership exercises. The group’s own students act as workshop facilitators and mentors under the guidance of our local team, applying what they know about entrepreneurship and leadership theory in a live, high-stakes-for-the-learner setting — a strong complement to coursework in business, leadership or education degrees.

FAQ's
Do students need facilitation or teaching experience beforehand?
No prior facilitation experience is required — we provide a structured briefing and our local team supports every session, though groups with some facilitation experience can take on a larger delivery role.
Can this be combined with the Local Business & Community Interaction programme?
Yes, these two programmes are frequently combined for groups wanting both a mentorship/workshop component and hands-on work with an established small business.
